Meacham shares a rich history with the City of Fort Worth and serves as North Texas’ premier corporate and general aviation facility.
Meacham has a significant economic impact on the local economy. The airport currently generates employment for 928 people, and according to the statistics developed by the TxDOT and the University of North Texas Center for Economic Development and Research, brought $164.8M in economic activity to the DFW area in 2011. Capital expenditures for the development and upgrading of Meacham facility reportedly generated $25.5M in economic activity in 2011, generating 230 job-years of employment in the Fort Worth community.

The City of Fort Worth, Department of Aviation (DOA) invites and welcomes proposals from qualified firms to fund, design and construct facilities in the Mid-Field Development Area at Fort Worth Meacham International Airport (Airport). Please take the time to carefully read and become familiar with the proposal requirements. A pre-submission conference will be held December 9, 2019 (please see RFP for details).
